Anyone who knows leather knows Horween’s shell cordovan is among the best in the world. But the craftsmanship has to be just as good. This band has both, I’m happy to say. The stitching and soft interior lining are top notch and look like they will last decades. The hardware is also attractive and really sets this apart from other Apple Watch leather bands that use cheap looking hardware. I’ve priced bands of similar quality and Nomad comes in $100 less than the nearest competitor.
I agree with another reviewer that Nomad should offer a less beefy buckle, but it is on the underside of your wrist, so it is rarely visible.
As with any fine leather, it is stiff out of the box, but will eventually bend to conform to your wrist. Mine took about a week of daily wear. Think of it like breaking in a quality baseball glove.
If you appreciate quality and can afford this beauty, stop looking and order already!
I hope Nomad adds a shell version in chestnut!
